A little about Jackee and how her mind works

My full name is Jacqueline C. Hester, I am the eldest of 4 children, and I was born in Coralville, IA. My Hawkward name comes for my love of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

I was born just outside of Iowa City with the population of about 13000 in 1996. My love of art would arise soon after as my dad was a huge fan of Japanese cartoons and video games. The first game I ever beat was Super Mario 64 in 2005. Anyway, I was raised in Iowa for 7 years and after my 3rd sibling was born, we moved to Overland Park, Kansas. Traded one farm state for another. I was a new kid with weird tendencies and a socially awkward personality. I really didn't want to stand out but at the same time, paradoxical child whims wanted me to be special. So I drew. I drew cartoon characters and wrote comics with some of my friends and discussed the nerdy and weird and I had friends. I loved the science channel, and the history channel, and I loved to learn about space and ghosts and the paranormal, as well as reading about comics and games.

I was weird; I didn't like talking to people, and would make really intense eye contact because I heard that was professional, and I REALLY missed a lot of social cues that made other people tend to stay away from me. I didn't really know why, because I thought my parents were pretty normal, so I raised pretty normal. Turns out, I liked to stay by myself, and play silent games or build things or for awhile, I put out all my toy collectable cars around my kitchen to simulate traffic at rush hour. I wasn't really normal, and I didn't know why.

The Myers-Briggs Type indicator is a personality test that picks out the 4 basic types of your personality. It chooses between how a person interacts with the world (Extroversion or Introversion), how a person gathers information from the world around them, (Sensing or Intuition), how a person makes a decision based on the information gathered, (Thinking or Feeling), and how a person tends to deal with the outside world (Judging or Perceiving).
I took this test, Myers-Briggs Type indicator in about 10 minutes and it came up with a general pattern to my personality.

This broke up my personality into 4 distinct areas. I am the Strategist or Mastermind.

INTJs are one of the rarest of the sixteen personality types, and account for approximately 1-3% of females and 2-6% of males. INTJs are analytical. Like INTPs, they are most comfortable working alone and tend to be less sociable than other types. Nevertheless, INTJs are prepared to lead if no one else seems up to the task, or if they see a major weakness in the current leadership. They tend to be pragmatic, logical, and creative. They have a low tolerance for spin or rampant emotionalism. They are not generally susceptible to catchphrases and do not readily accept authority based on tradition, rank, or title.

I am introverted, like REALLY introverted. I already knew that. I tend to think first, and I'd rather talk in a small group or one-on-one rather than in a crowd. It fits well with my personality. The fact that it's not 100% introversion is because of my two friends, Megan and Nery forcing me to have a social life.

I have a slight preference for intuition over sensing. I tend to look toward the future rather than the past for answers, and I like to create and invent almost naturally. I don't really like to guess about thing, and I am not really good at remembering things out of context or things without patterns.

I have strong preference for thinking rather than feeling, mostly because I don't really understand some of my own thoughts and others are just as vague if not more. I am really accepting of conflict while some of my friends really don't want to accept war and greed as natural human responses to things. I am pretty objective when I have to be, but I love to make my own opinion known when I really care about a subject.

I am more of moderately "plan ahead" type person, because I hate to ask for things last minute. Not to say that I am not a procrastinator, because I am, but I like to think I manage to get a majority of things done on time, simply because I hyper focus on one topic for a long time and normally when it's done, I move on.

INTJs can often be described using these words.

Analytical
Structured
Objective
Introspective
Perfectionist
Attentive
Controlled
Private
Responsible
Self-confident
Thick-skinned
Quiet
Determined
Independent
Impersonal
Theoretical
Intense
Strategic
Adaptable
Complex
Conceptual
Disciplined
Deliberate
Abstract
Decisive

Social interaction is often the Strategist's greatest challenge since it requires setting aside their strategic thinking. They are not affectionate unless they feel very safe. They do not always know how they affect others and can appear insensitive. Since INTJs enjoy deep conversations, more shallow forms of social interaction are often seen as a waste of time. They want their relationships to serve a good purpose. INTJs honor commitments.

INTJs analyze and strategize before they act. In their work they are organized and structured. They can be counted upon. They set high standards for themselves and believe they can achieve them. Coworkers find them private and hard to get to know. Others may perceive INTJs as aloof or annoyed when in reality they are serious and intense.

I am pretty happy with my personality, I feel like it is pretty spot on. Some down sides that I already knew: I am not good with people, which is why some of the careers most populated by INTJs are science and computer based, more internal and secluded careers. I am not happy with the fact that my personality doesn't fit an "artist" and I like to think I am pretty creative and spontaneous...

All and All, I am a weird, smart, slightly devious, artist, creative, dorky girl who likes comics and supernatural TV shows, and spends way to much time reading... And I am okay with that...
